Four nuns from the Shechen Nunnery in Bhutan are training in the Barefoot College to become solar engineers.

Shechen Centers in Mexico, Taiwan, and Croatia, were created by Buddhist practitioners around the world to study and practice according to the lineage of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Recently Rabjam Rinpoche and a tulku and khenpo from Shechen Monastery held a seven-day teaching seminar in Croatia.
