Shechen Mexico’s New Resident Teachers

Two graduates from the Shechen Philosophical College are now resident teachers at the Shechen Mexico Center.

Khenpo Karma Tsultrim and Lopon Tashi are the new resident teachers at the Shechen Centers in Mexico. Khenpo, originally from Bhutan, grew up at Shechen Monastery in Nepal. He completed his training at the Shechen Philosophical College (shedra) where he was awarded the Khenpo degree. He has taught for many years at the shedra in Nepal, the Shechen Nunnery in Bhutan, and at the Shechen Monastery in India.

Lopon Tashi graduated from the college last year, receiving the degree of Lopon. He taught in the Mustang District of Nepal and also at Shechen Monastery. He has an excellent command of English and will be translating and teaching along with Khenpo.

Both monks are studying Spanish and giving teachings throughout the week at the centers in Gaudalajara and Mexico City. For more information please contact: mexico@shechen.org
