Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche with Shechen monks and nuns have consecrated a new Shechen temple in Bhutan. UPDATED

On October 12,  ceremonies were held all over the world to mark the lunar calendar date of the passing of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in 1991.

Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche leads the 49th Paro Kichu Palchen Drubchen.

Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche passed away on September 27, 1991. The Tibetan and religious communities mark this date by the lunar calendar and, this year, the international ceremonies will be on October 12.

The annual forty days “summer rain retreat” (yarne) started August 10th at Shechen monasteries and nunnery in Nepal and Bhutan.

Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche gave teachings in Toronto from July 30th – August 3rd at the Riwoche Center.
