Shechen Monastery hosted a workshop on “Excellence in Leadership and Management: Core Concepts & Best Practices” from Nov 17-22 organized by the Khyentse Foundation specifically for Shechen monks. There were36 participants all associated with Shechen, tulkus, khenpos, monks, teachers and administrative staff. Khyentse Foundation provided the faculty and the workbook which is in Tibetan. The objectives of this course can be summarized as follows:

“Envisioning, shaping, and guiding the ways in which the Buddha’s teachings are spread in today’s complex and volatile world is a tremendous opportunity – and often a daunting responsibility. Those who lead and manage this development as living masters of eminent lineages and as future heirs of these lineages face new challenges.”

This 6-day Workshop used  proven and direct concepts, methods, and tools developed, and refined in hundreds of interactions with global leaders in business, politics, and society around the world. All workshop modules were specifically tailored to the needs of our monks and their personal and professional environment.

We are very grateful to the Khyentse Foundation for reaching out to the monastery and providing this invaluable training for the future.
