Ratna Lingpa Transmission in Shechen, Nepal

Yangtang Rinpoche will bestow the transmission of Terchen Ratna Lingpa’s Termas at Shechen Monastery in Nepal.

At the request of Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche, Yangtang Rinpoche has kindly agreed to bestow the transmission of Terchen Ratna Lingpa’s termas. The transmission, which will include all the empowerment and lungs, is scheduled to begin on April 14, 2015.
Yangtang Rinpoche is an emanation of the great Vimalamitra and the immediate incarnation of the Terton Dorje Dechen Lingpa. He is a main lineage holder in the Nyingma tradition and is widely recognized for the quality and depth of his realization, the power of his attainment, and the purity of his transmissions.

Terchen Ratna Lingpa (b.1403 – d.1479) compiled the Nyingma Gyübum, Collected Tantras of the Nyingmapasin the fifteenth century (no longer extant). He is also known by the names of Shikpo Lingpa and Drodul Lingpa, because during his single lifetime he revealed the destined termas (treasure teachings) of three different lifetimes.

The empowerments will be attended by Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche and other Rinpoches, khenpos, monks, nuns, and lay-people.
