On October 12,  ceremonies were held all over the world to mark the lunar calendar date of the passing of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in 1991.

A ceremony was also held in New York City at the Sherpa Temple presided over by Gyalse Tulku who later gave the Pema Tse Nyingtik empowerment to the many gathered to mark this day.
