The annual Tsokchen Dupa Drupchen has begun at Shechen MonasteryThe Tsokchen Duea practice is from the Kama tradition and its transmission has passed from the primordial Buddha, Kuntuzangpo to our root teacher. It is an Anuyoga practice and its mandala contains a large assembly of 721 peaceful and wrathful deities. The elaborate visualization of peaceful and wrathful deities have at their centers Kuntuzangpo and Chemchok Heruka.

The present sadhana was compiled by Terdag Lingpa Rigzin Gyumed Dorje from Mindroling. It was Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s vision to do this sadhana as a drupchen (9-day ceremony). In 2010, four more drupchens were added to be performed at the same time:

The ceremony is presided over by Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche with Gyalse Tulku and the four hundred tulkus and monks of Shechen . Wonderful photos of the events can be seen throughout Facebook on various sites including Shechen Monastery and Khyentse Yangsi pages.  For offerings and donations please go to https://shechen.org
