The transmission of the entire collected writings of Ju Mipham given by Rabjam Rinpoche in Bodhgaya is now half completed. They begin in mid-January and will be finished by Feb. 22. The transmission  comprises more than 28 large volumes. The transmission principally involves Rinpoche reading the texts (lung) and also bestowing a few Manjushri empowerments connected with Mipham Rinpoche.

Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche and 2,800 people, including more than 500 tulkus, khenpos and lopons, are attending the lung. This is the first time this entire collection has been given since 1987 when Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche gave it in Namdroling Monastery in south India at the request of Drupwong Penor Rinpoche.

What makes this event extra special was the discovery in Tibet, of a large biography of Mipam Rinpoche written by Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse. This is the largest biography of Mipam Rinpoche. It was written at a time when many of his disciples were alive and is therefore considered to be very accurate and authentic.

It was brought out of Tibet and given to Rabjam Rinpoche only last year. It was computer inputted and published and distributed on the first day of this series of transmission, and it was included in the transmission.

A six-day discussion of Mipham Rinpoche and his philosophy was with Rabjam Rinpoche and Khenchen Pema Sherab was attended by Yangsi Rinpoche and many other distinguished khenpos. Rabjam Rinpoche also thanked the Indian govenment in a speech at an event honoring the Indian government’s support of developing Bodhgaya.
